What is GRRO Global?
GRRO Global is a new international nonprofit initiative designed to expand the Green Rural Redevelopment Organization's proven rural revitalization model to communities worldwide. GRRO Global builds on GRRO’s commitment to cultivating thriving and resilient rural communities through education, healthy food access, sustainable agriculture, and economic empowerment.
Why GRRO Is Expanding Internationally
Rural communities across Africa and other developing regions face persistent poverty, limited market access for small farmers, rising food insecurity, high unemployment, and growing climate threats to traditional agriculture. These challenges mirror the conditions GRRO was built to address.
At the same time, these regions hold tremendous potential—fertile land, strong community networks, and a rising generation ready for opportunity. By combining innovation, sustainable agriculture, and local partnerships, GRRO Global aims to help communities build resilient food systems, improve health outcomes, and create lasting economic empowerment.
