Founder, The Connect Group NC, LLC
Patrick Brown is a fourth-generation farmer, entrepreneur, and founder of The Connect Group NC, LLC, who operates Brown Family Farms on land his family has owned for generations in Warren County, North Carolina. A graduate of Fayetteville State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Brown grew up farming tobacco, soybeans, wheat, vegetables, and livestock alongside his father, the late Rev. Dr. Arthur A. Brown. Today, Brown Family Farms focuses on specialty crops, organic vegetables, industrial hemp, soil conservation, and regenerative and climate-smart agricultural practices that support food sovereignty, environmental sustainability, and rural economic opportunity.
Brown is also committed to strengthening opportunities for small and historically underserved farmers and developing the next generation of agricultural leaders. Through The Connect Group NC, he has worked with the Rodale Institute to support farmers implementing regenerative agriculture practices through the USDA Climate-Smart Commodities initiative. He serves on the board of the Eva Clayton Rural Food Institute, helping advance efforts to strengthen rural food systems and improve access to healthy foods. Through Brown Family Farms and the Rev. Dr. A. A. Brown Foundation, he also provides hands-on agricultural learning opportunities for young people and emerging farmers.
