Elvin and Madeline Eaton are co-owners of Fairport Farms. Elvin is a fifth-generation farmer and agricultural entrepreneur rooted in a proud family tradition of working the land in Granville County, North Carolina. As part of a Century Farm, his connection to agriculture is more than a profession—it is a family legacy built on stewardship, perseverance, and a deep respect for the land.

In 2025, Elvin was honored as North Carolina A&T State University’s Small Farmer of the Year, recognizing his dedication to agriculture, entrepreneurship, and the continued advancement of small-scale farming. Through his work, he is building on the wisdom and traditions passed down through generations while embracing innovative approaches to modern agriculture.
